Ingredients
3.5 OZ / 100 G Parmesan
3.5 OZ / 100 G onions
2 EA garlic cloves
5.25 OZ / 150 G carrots
5.25 OZ / 150 G celery
2 TBSP olive oil
28 OZ / 800 G mixed beef and pork mince
5.25 OZ / 150 G steaky bacon
20 OZ / 600 ML beef or vegetable broth
2 TSP sugar
6 TBSP tomato puree
28 OZ / 800 G chopped tomatoes
2 TSP sweet paprika powder
1 TSP pepper
2 TBSP thyme
1 PINCH salt
28 OZ / 800 G spaghetti
Directions
Cut the Parmesan into rough pieces, add to the mixing bowl, and grate for 10 seconds using Turbo button. Transfer the parmesan cheese to another bowl and rinse the mixing bowl.
Peel and halve the onions. Peel the garlic. Peel and halve the carrots. Cut the celery into cubes.
Add all the vegetables into the mixing bowl. Chop the vegetables for 10 seconds / speed 5. Use spatula to scrape down the vegetables and chop again for 7 seconds / speed 5. Use spatula to scrape down the vegetables again.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil. Remove the measuring cup and sauté the vegetables for 4 minutes using the Sauté button.
Add half of the minced meat, remove the measuring cup and sauté for 7 minutes using the Sauté button. Remove everything from the mixing bowl and put aside. Clean the mixing bowl.
Cut the bacon into pieces and add to the mixing bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of oil, remove the measuring cup and sauté for 5 minutes using the Sauté button.
Add the remaining minced meat, remove the measuring cup and sauté for 10 minutes using the Sauté button.
Add warm stock, remove the measuring cup and cook for 10 minutes / 212°F|100°C / speed 2 / reverse.
Add meat with the vegetables back into the bowl. Add sugar, tomato purée, chopped tomatoes and the remaining warm stock in the mixing bowl. Season with paprika powder, ½ teaspoon of pepper, and mix everything for 30 seconds / speed 2 / reverse.
Remove the measuring cup and cook for 45 minutes /205°F|90°C / speed 1. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer the sauce to a separate bowl, cover and put in a warm place.
Rinse the bowl and add water. Boil the water for 10 minutes / 250°F|120°C / speed 1.
Remove the measuring cup and add spaghetti through the hole in the lid. Follow packaging instructions and cook spaghetti to al dente and drain.
Serve with the Bolognese sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.
