This meaty slow cooked beef dish is finished off with sour cream and raisins to compliment the beef perfectly.
Ingredients
14 OZ / 400 G tomatoes
21 OZ / 600 G braising steak
1.5 OZ / 40 G plain flour
2 OZ / 60 ML olive oil
7 OZ / 200 G onion
2 TSP tomato purée
1 TSP pepper
2 TBSP sweet paprika powder
1 TSP dried thyme
2 EA bay leaves
7 OZ / 200 ML chicken stock
0.5 OZ / 20 G raisins
3.5 OZ / 100 G sour cream
1 TSP sugar
1 TSP salt
Directions
Take the stem from the tomato then quarter them.
Remove the seeds then add to the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 seconds / speed 7. Remove from mixing bowl.
Dice the meat then coat in the flour with plenty of seasoning. Add a third of the meat to the mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup, sauté with oil for 7 minutes / 265°F|130°C. Decant the beef into another bowl.
Add another third and repeat the process for 7 minutes / 265°F|130°C. Decant to the bowl.
Add the remaining beef with oil. Sauté for 6 minutes / 265°F|130°C. Remove the beef from the bowl.
Wash and Peel the onion then chopping in quarters then
add to the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 seconds / speed 6.
Scrape down the sides and sauté for 4 minutes / 265°F|130°C.
Add the beef, thyme, paprika, tomatoes, tomato puree, stock and bay leaf. Insert the measuring cup and cook for 90 minutes / 200°F|95°C / speed 1 / stir.
Remove the measuring cup and cook for 30 minutes / 200°F|95°C / speed 1 / stir.
Add the sour cream and raisins seasoning with salt and pepper. Mix for 5 minutes / speed 1 / stir.
Serve with potatoes, pasta or rice. Enjoy your dish.
