    Garbanzo beans which are also known as chickpeas, have been grown and eaten in the middle east for thousands of years and are now globally as popular. As a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, chickpeas may offer a variety of health benefits, such as aiding weight management, improving digestion, and reducing risk of disease. 
    Probably universally the most used herb or spice is garlic! It has been used throughout time in healing for its anesthetic and antibiotic properties. With a strong pungent flavor, it must be used in moderation in cooking but great in just about any foods. Slow cook it, sweat it or even eat it raw!!!  
    Kale can be good for adding fiber and antioxidants to the diet in many savory dishes, salads, and smoothies. It is a member of the mustard, or Brassicaceae, family, as are cabbage and Brussels sprouts.
