Add more fun to your gatherings with this fluffy mustard bread with a cheesy filling!
Ingredients
17.5 OZ / 500 G strong bread flour
9 OZ / 250 G water
1 TSP sugar
2 TSP instant yeast
2 TBSP olive oil
2 TSP salt
2.5 OZ / 75 G whole grain mustard
7 OZ / 200 G shredded mozzarella
0.5 OZ / 20 G chives
3.5 OZ / 100 G softened butter
Directions
To activate the yeast, add water, yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar in the mixing bowl. Stir for 2 minutes / 99°F|37°C / speed 1.
Then add flour, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt. Knead for 1 minute.
Check the dough for consistency, add more water or flour depending on the desired consistency or until the dough is soft and can be pulled apart. Knead again for 1 minute.
If necessary, knead in a little more flour or water until the dough is soft and can be pulled apart. Take the dough out, shape into a ball and put it into a bowl covered by a tea towel and allow to prove for at least 1 hour until it has doubled in volume. Clean the mixing bowl.
Add your chives, cheese, mustard and butter to the mixing bowl. Combine the ingredients for 20 seconds / speed 5. Empty to a small bowl.
Divide the dough into 16 small balls and roll out flat, spread the mix onto the dough then roll up to form a pin wheel. Cut in half. Arrange onto a baking sheet then allow to prove until the dough is doubled in size for about an hour.
Preheat your oven to 200°C / 390°F. Once the dough has risen, bake in the oven for 25 minutes until golden brown.
TIP: You can also brush the dough with an egg wash or sprinkle with water before baking.
