This sweet toffee flavored pudding will leave you wanting more.
Ingredients
3.5 OZ / 100 G dates
4 OZ / 120 ML water
1 OZ / 30 G butter
2.5 OZ / 75 G sugar
1 EA egg
3.5 OZ / 100 G self-rising flour
0.5 TSP baking soda
3.5 OZ / 100 G cream
1 OZ / 30 G brown sugar
1 TBSP Molasses
21 OZ / 600 ML hot water
Directions
Add your water and dates to the mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup, cook fir 4 minutes / 230°F|110°C / speed 2 / stir.
Add baking soda and stir for 20 seconds / speed 2. Empty mixing bowl and clean. Allow date mix to cool slightly.
Add butter and sugar to the mixing bowl. Knead for 1 minute. Use spatula to scrape down the sides of bowl.
Remove the measuring cup, add egg through the hole on the lid when it rotates for 30 seconds / speed 4. Use spatula to scrape down the sides of bowl.
Add the date mix and flour. Knead for 20 seconds. Grease 6 3-inch molds with butter.
Once the mix is combined, portion it to the molds. Arrange the molds to deep steaming tray. Clean the mixing bowl.
Add hot water. Attach the steamer and steam for 20 minutes.
Remove the steaming tray and remove the lid to help dry out. Clean the mixing bowl. Add cream, brown sugar and molasses black treacle. Sauté for 10 minutes / 250°F|120°C.
Remove pudding from molds and pour sauce over the top.
